- Starting order: All 12 current KAW rosters, sorted by Sleeper roster ID, ascending. The list was published before the game and pulled live from Sleeper, so the order was fixed before the seed existed.
- Seed: Texas's final score vs. Texas State (Sept. 5, 2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN) × 100, plus Texas State's final score. Texas won 59–7, producing a seed of 5907.
- Shuffle: The seed fed a standard linear congruential generator using the classic Numerical Recipes constants (
a=1664525,c=1013904223,m=2^32), which drives a Fisher–Yates shuffle of the starting order. - Divisions: The first 3 teams in the shuffled order became Desgraciados, the next 3 Desperados, the next 3 Slackers, and the final 3 Slouchers.
